On March 6, 2020, Indiana Governor Holcomb declared a public health emergency in Indiana relating to the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19); and on March 13, U. S. President Trump declared a national emergency relating to the virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has determined that social distancing is necessary to minimize further spread of the virus, and the Indiana State Department of Health has issued and will continue to issue recommendations. In-person gatherings are in many instances no longer recommended or permitted for the immediate future.
Therefore, following the recommendations of the Governor, President and CDC, the April 9, 2020 meetings and agenda items of the Posey County Board of Zoning Appeals and the Posey County Area Plan Commission have been postponed to May 14, 2020, with Board of Zoning Appeals meeting at 5:00 p.m. and Area Plan Commission meeting at 6:00 p.m. Meetings will be held at the Hovey House, 330 Walnut St., Mt.
